At Kestrel, we’re one of a kind in the way we operate within our communities. Being largely residential-based, we tip money and income back into our local businesses, schools, not for profit organisations and greater community. This increases the connectedness within our four walls at Kestrel and strengthens our community ties. For both our people and the communities we serve, we bring value that not many others can match. As with all communities, there are always opportunities to create even more impact in the work we do and the way we operate. By unifying the Kestrel community internally as One Kestrel, we give ourselves a greater foundation to make greater impact externally too.

A little bit about where we call home
Emerald is located in the Central Highlands of Queensland, 271km west of Rockhampton which is home to 15,000 people. Named not after the gem, but for the lush green pastures that surrounded the town, Emerald was established in 1879 as a base to build the western railway.
